I love free stuff

If you've wondered why I've been absent from blogging it's because I have become a total coupon nerd.

I have a friend that I work with that has introduced me to Walgreens and the Sunday paper coupons.

I now have become addicted to getting things for free or next to nothing. Are these things always something I need? No. But who cares? It's free, right? I'm sure I'll use it at some point in time or give it away to someone in need.

Here is an example of a good buy.....Crest with Scope on sale for 2.49. 1.00 Sunday coupon and 1.00 Walgreens coupon and waaalaa (or Voila).... Crest with Scope .49 cents!!!! You can't beat that with a stick now can ya?

Now, here is an example of a good buy but not so good buy.....Nice and Easy Copper Red Hair Color on sale for 3.49. Sunday paper coupon for 3.00 and with the Walgreens coupon it made it FREE!!!

Does anyone need any Nice and Easy Copper Red Hair Color?? :))

LOL! You're too funny, Brooke!

I love a good coupon (especially Michaels Craft Stores and JoAnn Fabric's 50% off any regularly priced items. I have gotten some bargains, let me tell you!) However, I, too have had my share of good deals that have been pretty much useless to me. We're still using up the ginormous Costco roll of Christmas wrap that has moved with us 3 times (in spite of color scheme changes) because I couldn't bear to part with it, lol. I've covered entire classroom doors at church with this, and it still doesn't run out.

I'm thinking we may end up willing that to one of our sons.

My 98 year old aunt clips coupons and then puts them in envelopes for each of us. She never married so we are considered her "grandchildren". Whenever we visit there is an envelope waiting for us.

It's her thing to do! : )

Happy coupon clipping!

I don't do coupons. I can never remember to bring them with me to the store, so why bother spending the money on the Sunday paper? It makes me sad though to think that I'm pretty sure my hair has been copper red before (maybe not on purpose, but red just the same!) and maybe if I'd clipped a coupon at least the disaster wouldn't have cost me anything!

I use to be really good at coupons when we were in Seminary. BUT for some reason after having kids, getting better jobs, etc, I just gave up on the whole process....BUT.......it sure would be a great thing right now! I just need to start buying the Sunday paper again. And there are a few places you can go online to get free coupons, so I hear!
