Dear Mr. City Cop,

Why do you want to pull me over?
Don't you know I'm in a hurry?
Yes, I know I don't have a tag, or proof of insurance, or a bill of sale, and I was speeding
but hey, we're pals, right?
We both work to serve the public
(you do want your mail don't ya?)
I'm wearing a uniform can't you see?
Cut me a break, I just bought this car
see, poke your head in here, it still has that new car smell!
No?
Well ok, just walk back to your car with my license then.....
Please Lord.....I'm sorry I didn't pray this morning but can you listen now?
Ok...where are the tears....oh forget it, I just put my makeup on
I'm gonna hurt my brother for this
He didn't have to take the tag yet...
yeah, I know...maybe it wasn't his fault I was speeding
or that I didn't have my insurance card with me
but I gotta blame somebody right now
Oh here he comes....
great. He has a clipboard. not a good sign.
Yada. Yada. Yada. get a bill of sale..slow it down.....here's your ticket.
So, thanks Mr. City Cop for doing such a great job today
You deserve something really great but nothing really comes to mind right now
Have a nice day?
Yep. there's nothing like being late for work AND having a ticket
Have a nice day too!
Sincerely, The Mailgirl

**I went to the city hall after work with my proof of insurance and they dismissed it.

Tickets are a bummer, my last and only one cost me $89.00 I could have bought a new dress for that!

I had just crossed the GA line on the way to Chatt. doing 73 in a 55 zone. OK, I was guilty.....but I had all my stuff, was super nice....yes sir, no sir....and I still got the ticket.......

Glad to hear from you...it's been way to long since you posted. I'm sure Jack's been up to something worth posting....LOL

Love ya girlfriend!! To next week-end!!!!!!!

LOL! Sorry about the ticket, but GLAD it was dismissed. Yay!

Pssst... ALWAYS risk streaky mascara for the sake of a ticket. Always.

I used to feel like traffic cops drove around with a WANTED sign in their car with my picture on it.

hi brooke!
good to see you on the blog again!
so what car did you get???
i'm currently obsessing about getting a new one..
everyday i run late for work and speed like a mother.
everyday i imagine the scenario that you describe (well, not the part about the tags or insurance card)..but in my imagination the cop always lets me off because I'm a mailgirl.
guess i betters low down!
glad you escaped in the end.

it's about stinkin' time something crazy happened to you! :)

if it makes you feel any better, i got a letter in the mail today threatening to issue a warrant for my arrest for not paying a seatbelt ticket i got a couple weeks ago in georgia. thing is, i already paid it! called and they say they didn't know why i got the letter because they had my cash.

i've considered it before and i've concluded a few days of jail wouldn't be such a bad thing. clean cell. 3 hots and a cot. no screaming kids. maybe i'll take that warrant after all....:))

Love ya! Can't wait til the weekend!!

Where ya been, Mailgirl? Surely you've got something to blog about...we're missin' you in Bloggyville! Surely between AWANA, mail delivery, raising children and going to school there is something...some little crumb you could toss out there for us? ;)

Maybe I'll send a Meme your way so you feel obligated to respond...

I'm glad they dismissed it. Tickets - they do not rock.

Okay firstly, your lack of blogging is distressing me.

But more imporantly, you blessed my socks off Sunday morning...I'm still barefooted my friend. I love you more than you can imagine and I know God is working out some huge things in that sweet life of yours.
